Vasectomy is a minor healing procedure which prevents the releasing of sperm when a man ejaculates. It involves making two small cuts in the scrotum so as to snip the duct known as Vas Deferens on each side and tie off the cut ends. The sperm cannot travel into the urethra and out of his penis. After a man has been sterilized, and once his semen no longer contains sperm so he cannot make a woman pregnant. But one thing should be remembered that the man can still have erection, ejaculation and enjoy coitus the same way.

In initial practice, vasectomy was believed to be irreversible. Due to the sealing or closure, sperms are not allowed to pass into the semen at the time of ejaculation.

Vasectomy is done by a trained surgeon within ten to twenty minutes.  Post operation, the man can resume back to work or continue with his usual routine. This operation is done under local anesthesia.

TUBECTOMY

Tubectomy is a surgical procedure in which the fallopian tubes of a female are cut to prevent future pregnancies in women. This method of sterilization involves binding off both fallopian tubes so that ova cannot travel into the uterus. This impedes the woman in getting pregnant.

The woman can still menstruate normally and can enjoy physical intimacy in the same way that she did before she was sterilized. The eggs produced gets absorbed inside the body than being delivered through the uterus.
